Description

A screw conveyor is sized from throughput and material: the filling factor and the flow factor depend on the product, and from these follow the flight diameter, the pitch and the rotation speed. Power and torque follow with the ISO 7119 method, and the work closes with the shaft check and the draw from the hopper.

What it includes

  • Volumetric and mass throughput with the filling factor of the material

  • Shaft check in torsion, bending and fatigue
  • Check of the end bearings and of the intermediate bearing, where needed
