Description
An unwinder is sized starting from the reel and the material: the tension required on the web, how it changes between full and empty reel, the resulting braking or driving torque and the inertia to be overcome during acceleration. From there follow shaft, bearings, frame and drive. The scope is the calculation: the mechanical configuration is your decision, the numbers are ours.
What it includes

- Check of the reel shaft in bending, torsion and fatigue
- Bearing selection and life to ISO 281
- Check of the supporting frame and of the bolted joints to VDI 2230
- Calculation report with the limit operating conditions
What we need from you
- Material, width and thickness of the web
- Maximum and minimum reel diameter, core diameter and maximum mass
- Line speed and acceleration and stopping times
- Required tension, or mechanical properties of the material
- Configuration: cantilever or between centres, expanding or mechanical shaft
Data is sent after the order confirmation, by email or with a sharing link. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving the files.

Is the price really fixed?
Yes, for the scope described on this page: the price stated in the offer, plus VAT, including the options you selected. If the data you send show work that differs from the standard one, we tell you before starting and you decide whether to go ahead with a dedicated quotation or to cancel at no cost.
How do I pay?
By advance bank transfer, on the basis of the offer you receive after the price request. Work starts when the payment and the input data have been received.
When will I receive the work?
Within 7 working days of receiving payment and all the required data; with the urgent option the time is halved.
Can I order as a private individual?
Yes. The offer also states the price including VAT, and as a consumer you have the right to withdraw within 14 days under the terms of sale.
