Description

EN 13749 sets the load cases, combinations and acceptance criteria for the bogie frame verification: the work is defined by the standard and the vehicle category, not by the customer's design choices. The report is set up to be included in the technical file and assessed by the notified body.

What it includes

  • FEM model of the frame from the 3D model supplied, with a convergence study
  • EN 13749 exceptional and service load cases for the vehicle category
  • Static check against yield
  • Fatigue check of base material and welded joints
  • Identification of critical sections and annotated maps
  • Traceable calculation report for the technical file

What we need from you

  • 3D model of the frame in STEP format
  • Vehicle category and masses (body, bogie, payload)
  • Position of suspensions, dampers, brakes and attachments
  • Materials and weld quality classes

Data is sent after the order confirmation, by email or with a sharing link. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving the files.
